Day 1

Arrival – Nairobi

Arrive @ Jomo Kenyatta International airport. Get transferred to the Hotel for your overnight stay. Catch up on some sleep after your long-haul flight, before your safari adventure begins the following morning.

Early breakfast at the hotel. Pick-up from the hotel and transfer to Wilson Airport. Feel your excitement build as you board a light aircraft to the Masai Mara. Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness covering an area of 1,510 square km (583 square miles), in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers. The area nearby is dotted with villages (enkangs) of Maasai people.As you fly over, gaze down at the sweeping plains dotted with acacia trees, and as you descend see scatterings of giraffes and elephants ambling over the savannah.Upon arrival at the airstrip, your guide will greet you and take you game driving to your home for the next 3 nights, Speke’s Camp. This authentic tented camp is positioned on a private concession bordering the main reserve and is close to the Musiara Swamp, which is teeming with wildlife. Overnight stay at your camp.

Breakfast at the camp. After you have relished on a hearty lunch under the shade of an acacia tree, you will head out on your afternoon game drive. You’ll have the freedom to enjoy the Masai Mara at your own pace with your own private vehicle and guide. Watch a herd of jovial elephants playfully interacting at a waterhole. Wait in anticipation for a cheetah to begin a high-speed hunt as she prowls the Savannah for prey. Feel the thundering power of the Great Migration as thousands of wildebeest cross the Mara River and have your camera ready for some incredible photos without the obstruction of other guests in your vehicle. These are some of the astonishing wildlife sightings you could encounter throughout your 3 days here. Overnight stay at Camp.
